The Table Spread Food Pantry is a 501c3 non-profit located in the heart of a food desert in midtown Memphis. The Table Spread was started by 2 teenagers in the Memphis Muslim community as a mobile pantry in 2016.
Alhamdulillah, since then, we have become the first stand-alone food pantry founded and run by Muslims in Tennessee. We recently surpassed our 3000th food box distributed since opening. We currently feed 35 families per month as well as anyone referred to us by social service agencies and local masjids.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set free the captives.”
